HIGH TEA & HIGH FASHION FUNDRAISER
for the BC/Yukon Region of the Canadian Breast
To our Friends, Supporters and Sponsors,
After much deliberation and soul-searching, we have decided we will not be hosting the 2011 Prêt-A-Pour-Tea and Prêt-A-Pour-Nuit events. While the 2010 events were a big success and we were able to donate $50,000 to the CBCF, the monumental effort in staging two events in one day took its toll.
We had a fabulous committee of dedicated women help us last year. Without them and our wonderful volunteers and sponsors, we would not have been able to pull off such an undertaking! However, even with all of the support, the two of us shouldered a very large burden. Organizing the Prêt events has been consuming the better part of a year. Having now organized five very successful and enjoyable Prêt-A-Pour-Tea events as well as 2010’s very glamorous Prêt-A-Pour-Nuit, both of us feel the need to step back and reassess our directions, our goals and the ways in which we can be of most service to our communities.
We realize that some of you – especially those of you who have supported us from the very beginning – will be terribly disappointed without your annual High Tea! We encourage you to still get together with your group of gal pals and celebrate each other over a special day and make your own individual contributions to the CBCF if you wish. And if you are pining for a memento, there are a few of the Limited Edition Masik Mosaiks left. It’s a terrific way to support the CBCF while sharing your life with a gorgeous reminder of the Prêt events. Pamela Masik has never before done a limited edition of her work and she has been gaining much attention worldwide. Prints can be ordered online at here.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your commitment and belief in our events. We loved hosting them for you and we hope to be able to generate another signature event in the future! Until then, all of the best to each of you! We will miss you come October!

Prêt-A-Pour-Tea and Prêt-A-Pour-Nuit
Masik Studio’s warehouse was transformed by ROA Floral Design & Greenscape Silk Design into “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” with a fantasy garden of pink flowers and topiary sculpted trees, with Murchies serving tea from vintage, collectable china tea cups to a capacity crowd of 200 women.
Then four short hours later, the Masik Studio was transformed, yet again, into a sophisticated & sexy evening set in black satin, clear ghost chairs and hot pink flowers, to welcome a capacity crowd of 300 to a Gala Dinner catered by Glowbal Collection. NUIT guests were entertained by comedian, Lachlan Patterson and later, by Kitty Burlesque dancers strutting down the catwalk, modeling Athena Bax’s hand-painted bras.
Inaugural Prêt-a-Pour-Nuit 2010
Finally, Pamela Masik’s generous donation of the stunning & magical, “Masik Mosaik” sold in the live auction at the Nuit event helping us reach our 2010 fundraising goal of a $50,000 donation to the CBCF! We could not have met this goal without Pamela’s amazing work and the hours she put into this project.
100 very special signed and numbered limited edition prints of the Masik Mosaik are available for sale at $112 (incl HST). Click here to purchase!
