BIF NAKED– MC & Guest “Survivor” Speaker of Pret A Pour Tea

Bif Naked is known as one of the most humorous and personable ad-lib masters in music. She is the ultimate story.  Orphaned in India, adopted by missionaries, then moving to Canada as a young teen, she became a punk rocker in her later teens and  grew to be one of the most iconic musicians in Canada.  Her recent two year battle with Breast Cancer and how she persevered is truly inspiring.  Bif’s story is one that can motivate any person to strive for life success and happiness.

In January 2008, Bif made an announcement that shocked fans and media alike….she was diagnosed with breast cancer and began the fight of her life. Partly because it is in her nature, and partly because it helped keep her focused on the future, Bif began to write and record The Promise – her sixth studio album — while undergoing 13 months of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

“I was determined to make this new record if it was the last thing I did” says Bif, who is now strong, healthy and inspired. “I wrote songs from my bed. When it was time to record, the studio was a block up the street from my condo…all I had to do was to force myself to walk up the hill, with my bald head, in my pajamas — like Quasimodo. The headphones would constantly slip off my shiny head!  Some days were good and some days were horrific. Sometimes I couldn’t do a thing, other days I could only sing for an hour, and then crawl home to my bed. We took it day by day.”

Bif Naked – her life’s journey from an orphanage in India to platinum selling international recording artist then breast cancer survivor is dark, spiritual and most of all, inspirational.

Ian Walker is more than just a trophy husband.

In his 10 years as a sports writer with The Vancouver Sun he’s covered everything from the 2010 Olympic Winter Games to the Cloverdale Rodeo and all things in between. Ian’s exploits include try-outs with the B.C. Lions, The Vancouver Canadians and Cirque du Soleil.  Ian’s past action and sport fuelled “Adrenalin” Columns earned him a loyal following for his self-deprecating writing style and never-ending willingness to put his body at risk on behalf of the reader!  Past beats include the CFL, Whitecaps Soccer and junior hockey.

LACHLAN PATTERSON-Comedy Entertainment Pre-A-Pour-Nuit

Originally from Vancouver, now living in Los Angeles, Lachlan Patterson is quickly becoming the most talked about stand-up comedian in North America.

With 2 invitations to the Montreal Comedy Festival including a brilliant performance at the prestigious “Gala of Laughs” hosted by SEINFELD’ own Jason Alexander, Lachlan is well on his way to Superstardom.  His first week in the United States, Lachlan was picked to perform for COMEDY CENTRAL’S “LIVE AT GOTHAM” T.V.
